“Right from week one I was producing designs for one of our most popular tools, and in the 18 months since I’ve worked on interfaces for over five different products. It’s great to be part of a company that values good design and its customers user experience so highly.” Tom Randle, User Experience Designer

Working closely with developers, testers, authors and usability specialists you will be responsible for the creation of software application designs from the initial user requirements gathering stage through to the design, testing and final release.

Taking scenarios, personas, task analysis results and other inputs, you will be able to create compelling user experiences mocked up to varying degrees of fidelity. For example, using Visio to create a low fidelity design of a new concept, or using Photoshop to create visually polished high fidelity designs of the final product. You will also have the chance to usability test your designs ensuring the final product is of the highest standard.

This is a role that requires an ability to deliver creative solutions to potentially difficult problems in a technically challenging area of software development.

After your initial training you will be applying your design talent in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Mentoring and advice will be available at all times and you will benefit greatly from a team that have significant experience in creating highly usable software.
